He is survived by: his mother Johanna Baars; and his siblings, Corrie Sjollema (Ron Sjollema), Toon Baars, John Baars (Lori Baars), Margaret Loogman (Theo Loogman), Frank Baars, Harry Baars, Willem Baars (Leanne Baars), Alex Baars (Candace Baars) and Laurenz Baars. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
