It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ken Tontsch of Grande Prairie, Alberta, born in Burford, Ontario, who passed away on July 8, 2024, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Tontsch and Sophie Tontsch; and his brother Edward Tontsch. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Elizabeth Tontsch; his daughter Taniya Birbeck; his son-in-law Adam Birbeck; his granddaughters, Amity Birbeck and Layne; his daughter Kylee Lehr; his son-in-law Carl Lehr; his grandchildren, Arianna Lehr, Easton Lehr and Walker; his daughter Kaitlyn Lukoni; his son-in-law Nicholas Lukoni; his grandchildren, Ella Lukoni and Maksym Lukoni; and his sister Diane Orlicky. He is also survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other extended family, and friends.
