He was predeceased by: his parents, Vasil Daruda and Anna Daruda; his parents-in-law, Allan and Claire East; his daughter Lisa Kathleen; his close friend Bill Simpson; and his siblings-in-law, Diana Simpson, Jim East and Tony Wasylciw.
He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Ann East of Grande Prairie, AB.; his sons, Allan, James and Chris (Marcy Empey); his grandchildren, Delaney, Ashley, Blair, Aidan, Zachary, Raine Empey (Adam) and Jeremy Empey; his great grandchild Valianna Blake Blue; his siblings, Andy Daruda (Lyn) of Kamloops, Matthew Daruda of Edmonton, Lucille Ohrn (Gerald) of Red Deer and Irene Perley of Sechelt, BC; his siblings-in-law, Lori Lofstrom (Lloyd) of Grande Prairie, Sandy East of Kelowna, Sylvia Worthy of Kamloops and Michael Tookey (Marianne) of Pentiction; and his friends, Edgar Wolf of Vernon, Norm Blasovits of Edmonton, Arnold Ladwig (Anna) of Grande Prairie, Charlotte and Ted Golnick of Grovedale.
