He is survived by: his wife Teresa Nelson (Maddigan); his children, Chris Nelson (Loriann), Charity Chaulk (Steven), Justin Nelson, Bret Nelson, Kerrie Nelson and Alysa Nelson (Sam); and his grandchildren, Jordan, Leah, Oliver, Crosby, Sawyer, Tobias, Elliot and Connor.
