He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Cyr and Elizabeth Cyr; his son Lex Cyr; and his siblings, Louis Cyr, Alice Anderson and Paul Cyr.
He is survived by: his wife Ellen Hellmer; his children, Crystal Cyr-Martin (Stan Trider) of Hines Creek, AB and Miles (Debbie Levey) of Williams Lake, BC; his granddaughters, Veronica Dougherty (Jeremy) of Grande Prairie, AB and Kimberly St. Amant (Adam) of Lethbridge, AB; his great grandchildren, Ethan Dougherty, Austin Dougherty, Bailey St. Amant, Elliot St. Amant, Torunn Mortensen and Scarlett Mortensen; his granddaughter Eva Wikenheiser of Calgary, AB; and his in-laws, Roland Anderson of Lethbridge, AB, Rita Lapointe of Calgary, AB, Joyce and Martin Timko of Tilley, AB. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.
