It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Linda Denise Lyle of Grande Cache, Alberta, born in Ajax, Ontario, who passed away on March 1, 2022, at the age of 54, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her mother Edna Kiers. She is survived by: her father Wally Kiers of Peterbourgh; her husband Rod Surman of Grande Cache; her sons, Mitch Clegg (Chantal) of Grande Cache and Chris Clegg (Nina) of Fredericton; her stepsons, Cris Surman (Alisha Brown) of Sarnia and Eric Surman of Grande Cache; her grandchildren, Evan, Kaelynn and Carter; and her sisters, Cathy Gray (Dale) of Peterbourgh and Debbie Mackey (Mike) of Bowmanville. She is also survived by her family and friends.

“Just learned about Lin leaving us in the last few days. Didn’t know she was struggling or about any of what recently was occurring in her life. With covid, we all got out less and less. Never the less, I admired Lin and our time together with the Animal Society. Her love for animals was clear. Her smile contagious.I will miss our chance meetings around town. She is gone far too soon and leaves with a profound sense of loss to those left behind. My deepest and most sincere condolences to family.”
