He was predeceased by: his parents, Alphonse Makokis and Margaret Makokis; his adoptive children, Fred, Darcy and Morgan Sparklingeyes; his siblings, Roy, Harvey, Danny, Beatrice, Joan, Marjorie and Grace; his parents-in-law, Marcus and Florence Sparklingeyes; and his siblings-in-law, Edgar, Henry Sparklingeyes and Victoria Quinney.

He is survived by: his wife Doreen; his sons, David, Leo Daniel and Brent; his adoptive children, Brian, Joey, Edith, Vicky, Stanley and Mackenzie; his grandchildren, Madison, Meadow, Roxanne, Cassandra, Dionne and Zane; his great grandchild Nathaniel; his siblings, Louise Bugghins, Doris Ross and Dick Makokis; his sisters-in-law, Laura Makokis and Joan Makokis; and his close friend Alice Anderson. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren & friends.
