He was predeceased by: his parents, Clayton Third and Annie Third; his wife Joyce; his son Barry; his siblings, Clifford, John and Pat Sponchia; his parents-in-law, Jeanne, Art Weller and Tim Colman; his sister Ferne; and his brothers-in-law, Artie Tollefsrud and Ken Pederson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Cindy Longson (Greg), Lori Hewitt (Craig) and Karen Mitchell (Ken); his brother Jerry Third (Helen); his sister-in-law Betty Pederson; and his grandsons, Jordan Longson, Cory Longson (Jordan), Coleman Mitchell (Codie), Taylor Mitchell (Lisa), Colton and Ryan Hewitt. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends.
Due to covid restrictions there will be no service.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Village of Hythe for the Cemetery Fund at Box 219, Hythe, AB T0H2C0 (a charitable receipt will be issued), or to the charity of one's choice.
