He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret; his parents, Joseph Leroux and Genevieve Leroux; his brothers, Ivan, Leo, Louis, Gille and Frank; and his brothers-in-law, Roland Duchesne and Adolph Kahanyshyn Rene.
He is survived by: his daughter Rachel Leroux of Slave Lake; his grandchildren, Andrew Slabodian, Lesleigh Leroux, Raelynn Leroux, Avery Joe Lanovaz and Drayden Lanovaz; and his siblings, Georgette Duchesne of Bonnyville, Alice Kahanyshyn of Bonnyville, Rita Leroux of Bonnyville, Isabelle John (Dixon) of Cache Creek, B. C. and Andrew Leroux (MaryAnne) of La Corey. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
