He was predeceased by: his mother Emily Aldena Berland; his grandparents, Alice Berland and Francis Berland; his aunt Virginia Berland; his cousins, Ross Berland, Vaughn Berland, Charles Berland and Lorna Berland; his grandparents, Cora Castor and Edward Marsh; and his uncle Kenny Makokis.
He is survived by: his wife Angela Shingoose; his son Jayven Moocheweines; his adoptive children, Rollen Whitefish and Aiden Whitefish; his stepchildren, Christian Shingoose and Jayda Thomas; his father Leonard Castor; and his siblings, Ivan Berland (LaQuinna), Priscilla Berland (Travis), Joey Berland (Sheryl), Christopher Berland (Cindy) and April Berland (Byron). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
A wake was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Norman C. Quinney Careers Centre (130 Chief Napeweaw Dr E, Frog Lake, AB T0A1A0). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
