He was predeceased by: his wife Lilly; his parents, Adga Swanson and Gus Swanson; his parents-in-law, John and Anna Ockerman; his siblings, Wally and Ingrid Delancy; and his siblings-in-law, Gordon Oswald, Ted Smok, Eugene Dolinsky, Joyce Swanson, Faith Swanson, Elsa Nelson (Idalore), Lloyd Ockerman (Mary), Carl Ockerman (Olga), Melvin Ockerman (Leatha), Arnold Ockerman (Shirley) and John Ockerman Jr. (Judy).
He is survived by: his children, Bev Norman and Rick Swanson (Mariani); his grandchildren, Cori Norman (Mark), Candice Bugnet (Noel) and Christopher Swanson; his great grandchildren, Cole Bugnet and Sydney Bugnet; his siblings, Bernice Dolinsky, Mary Oswald, Margaret Smok and Erling Swanson; his brother-in-law Jim Delancy; and his friend Rita Moritz. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the Pioneer House - Fort Saskatchewan (10102 100 Ave, Fort Saskatchewan, AB T8L1Y6).
