It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edith Pearl Smart (Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta), who passed away on February 1, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Arnold Howard Smart; and her siblings, John, Max, Bob and Joyce.

She is survived by: her children, Linda Ritter (George), Gary Smart (Cathy) and Allan Smart (Dawn); her grandchildren, Shannon Joy (Darren), Shawna Burke (Ian), Angela Racich, Jason Smart (Mandy), Tyler Smart (Jen), Stephanie Covin (Gordon) and Tiffany Soussan (Darcy); her siblings, Florence, Carl (Dolly) and George (Donna); and her siblings-in-law, Darlene McMillan, Leona Sim and Gene Loranger.

Memorial donations in memory of Edith Smart can be made directly to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 119 14th Street NW Calgary AB T2N 1Z6.
