He was predeceased by: his stepdaughter Carrie. He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his children, Colleen (Craig), Shawn (Cory) and Jody (Rochelle); his stepchildren, Jeff, Patrick (Janie) and Christine; and his siblings, Nancy Foster, Fern Messner (Harvey), Faye McGillivray (Angus) and Howard. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
