He was predeceased by: his parents, John Dembicki and Janette Dembicki. He is survived by: his wife Cissy Dembicki (Leung); his children, Jennifer (Richard) and Michael (Allison); his grandchildren, Wilfred, Ashleigh, Madelyn, Charlotte and Andrew; and his aunt Patricia Melnyk. He is also survived by his extended family, former colleagues, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Dennis can be made to the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute via the University Hospital Foundation.
