It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Trudy Sheila Mottern of Fort McMurray, Alberta, who passed away on June 6, 2024, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alberta Johnson and Sheila Johnson; her sister Patricia Varnes; and her in-laws, Bud and Bertha Mottern.

She is survived by: her husband Bob Mottern; her children, Steven Mottern (Kim) and Shawna Pliska (Ryan); her grandchildren, Paige, Halee, Noah Mottern-Dobson and Nolin Pliska; her sisters, Linda Maschio (Fabio) and Rita Hicks (Dave); her mother-in-law Irene Mottern; and her sisters-in-law, Alice Shea (Pat) and Karen Clarkson (Vern). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
