Michael George Harty Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Michael George Harty of Fort McMurray, Alberta, born in Lethbridge, Alberta, who passed away on November 23, 2021. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his son Landus Michael Harty (Mary Corinne); his parents, John Harty and Rose Harty; his sister Marjorie Wehlage; his sisters-in-law, Bernice Harty, Bernice Ayearst and Kathy Harty; and also, Paul, Sue Nikiwski and Kirk Johnson.
He is survived by: his daughter Tamara Darnell Epple (Bob); his grandchildren, Ainsley, Felicity and Quinn; his great grandchildren, Kelsey, Jackson and Haylee; his grandchildren, Gavin, Donavin and Brodin; his brothers, Richard Harty (Gladys), Ron Harty, Bruce Harty and Les Harty (Ann); his siblings-in-law, Elmer Wehlage, Peggy Johnson (Clarence), Cheryle Schick (Bob) and Roy Ayearst; and his wife Joanne Nikiwski. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions in place, the service honouring Mike's life will be by invitation only.
In lieu of flowers, please take your children or grandchildren for an ice cream cone to remember Mike as it was one of his favourite things to do.
