With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Christopher Wayne Keel of Fort McMurray, Alberta, born in Little Bras d'Or, Nova Scotia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 4, 2024 at the age of 39. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Ches and Florence Keel; and his stepgrandfather Ted Burton. He is survived by: his parents, Larry Keel and Bev Keel (Reashor); his wife Amy-Lee Downey; his daughters, Hadley and Taylor; his pet Pacey; his sister Amanda (Evan MacNeil); his parents-in-law, Skip and Sandy Downey; his sister-in-law Holly Downey (Matt Organ); his niece Ophelia; his nephew Charles; his brothers, Shawn and Kyle; and his godparents, Roger and Monique Gallant. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
