He was predeceased by: his parents, Alphonse Garand and Jeanne Garand (Dupuis); and his siblings-in-law, Marcel Giroux and Bess Garand. He is survived by: his wife Joy Sornito; his children, Cindy, Jason (Tammy), Kris (Leona) and Karlo Sornito; and his siblings, Victor, Léo (Delores), Gérard (Doris), Dolorès Giroux, Thérèse (Guy Gosselin), Roger (Lil), Normand and Laura (Gerry Noël). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.
