It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Allen Joseph Liknes (Evansburg, Alberta), born in Coronation, Alberta, who passed away on September 4, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Fern Fausak; and his brother Alvin. He is survived by: his daughter Lana; his grandchildren, Austin, Tristin, Rownin and Deagin; his son Clint (Jen); his grandchildren, Clayden and Jaymes; his son Lucas (Wendy); his grandchildren, Eve, Abel and Espen; his daughter Katie (Jacob); his grandchildren, Drake, Kiara, Hannah and AJ; his son Eric (Camila); his grandchildren, Lila, Leo and Lorenzo; and his great grandchild Everett.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to Canadian Batten Disease Support and Research Association to fund research for the disease suffered by three of his grandchildren.
