He was predeceased by: his son Joseph Freeland Colbourne; his parents, Olive Colbourne and Gordon Colbourne; his brother Alexander Colbourne; and his brother-in-law Trevor King.

He is survived by: his children, Elsie Orachewski (Lyle) and Edwin Colbourne; his grandchildren, Avery Orachewski, Brendon Orachewski, Cayla Orachewski, Madison and Teaira Colbourne; and his siblings, Gabby Colbourne (Donna), Margaret Freeland (Don), Gwen Retzler (Frank) and Ina Miles (Shane). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
