He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Brown Sr. and Phyllis (Brown); his brother Jim Brown; his parents-in-law, Bud Tufty and Phyllis Tufty; his sister-in-law Penny Thomas; and his grandparents, Milton, Kathleen Yandt, Ernest and Sarah Brown.

He is survived by: his wife Karen; his children, Glenn Brown (Sharon) of The Woodlands, Chris Brown (Laurie) of Wildwood and Carrie Finlayson (Robb) of Spruce Grove; his niece Melanie Thomas of Vegreville; his grandchildren, Alexandra Mackay-Brown (William), Jenessa Brown, Chris Jr., Jake Brown, Malcolm, Cade and Kinsley Finlayson; his siblings, Allen Brown (Cindy) of Edmonton and Jean Puckering (John) of St. Albert; and his siblings-in-law, Ila and Kerry Miller of Edson. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.
