It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Marjorie Marion Brooker (Elk Point, Alberta), born in Calgary, Alberta, who passed away on September 18, 2018, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Archiebald McLeod and Faye McLeod; her husband Gordon Brooker; her children, Leonard, Calvin and Carol Bereza; her daughter-in-law Irene Brooker; her granddaughter Annette Brooker; and also, Ben McLeod (Joan), Don McLeod (Edna), Hugh McLeod (Alta), Marie Newton (Eugene), Enid Peat (Leslie), Iona Marshall (Gordon) and Jean Morrison (Don).
She is survived by: her sons, Don (Vicki) of Elk Point and Lorn (Wendy) of Lacombe; and her sister Shirley Jackson (Bill) of Goodfish Lake. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; thirty-four great-grandchildren; thirty-one great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, it was Marjorie's wish that memorial donations be made to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB), 10 - 11A Street NE, Calgary, AB T2E 4Z3 (http://www.cnib.ca).
