It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Frederick Syska in Edson, Alberta, born in Willingdon, Alberta, who passed away on November 6, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his son Nathan; his parents, Eva Sorochuk and Stanley John Syska; and his siblings, Marian Syska Hallett, Marshall and Eugene Syska.

He is survived by: his wife Andrea; his son Ben; his nephew Michael (Wanda); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Michaela and Lara (Troy); his nephew John (Sue); his great-niece Alexandra; his great-nephew Christopher Kowalchuk; his niece Mariana Kowalchuk; his siblings-in-law, Cecilia Winton and Victor Newman; and also TJ Hansen.

A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Holy Family Catholic Church (75 Poirier Ave, St. Albert, AB T8N6A1).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the University Hospital Foundation towards the University of Alberta Hospital's Nephrology Department. University Hospital Foundation.
