He was predeceased by: his parents, Anne Ponich (Killick) and Gregory Ponich; his siblings, Bill Ponich (Susan), Michael Ponich (Rochelle), Elsie Dixon (Ray) and Evelyn Belanger (Ed); and his granddaughter Katherine Loewen.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth; his daughters, Kimberley Loewen (Philip), Tracy Ponich (Iain Smale) and Leslie Ponich (Ken Savage); his grandsons, Jonathan Loewen (Lianne McLean) and Nicholas Loewen; his great grandchildren, Oscar Loewen and Theodore Loewen; and his siblings, Orest Ponich (Gloria) and Olga Semeniuk (George).
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel (10530 116 St NW, Edmonton, AB T5H3L7).
