Walter Eugene Chimko Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of Walter Chimko announce his passing on Friday, June 2, 2023 at the age of 80.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 54 years, Sharon (nee Russ); Children Cheryl (Fred) Chimko-Collins; Tammy (Pasquale) Pucci and Lee (Anna) Chimko. Loving Gido to Alexandra, Cole, Jessie, Ryan, Kenzie, Cory (Samantha), Coda and Brenna. Great grandchildren April, Sonny and Aspen. As well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents Metro and Nellie Chimko (nee Tchir); brothers Steve and Ernie, and sister Marie-Ann (Brodziak).

We as a family would like to personally thank all the Doctors, Nurses, and Support staff for their unconditional Love, kindness, and professionalism at the Rivercrest Hospice Care Centre.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 9, 2023 at 1:30 PM at Holy Eucharist Parish, 6425-120 Ave. Edmonton. Interment to follow at Glenwood Funeral Home & Cemetery, 52356 Range Rd 232, Sherwood Park.

Memorial Donations may be made in support of Prostate Cancer Research.
