She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Hans Bernhard Emil Krug and Lieselotte Krug; her spouse Eberhard Gerhard Kastendieck; and her children, Heide Neis (Daryl), Werner Kastendieck (Colleen), Karen Hills (Buck), Kenneth Kastendieck (Jennifer) and Gerald Kastendieck (Karen). She was also cherished by her mother, grandmother and 4 of her brothers, her children, Uta's family includes 27 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren.
