He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Holman and Iris Holman; his sisters, Bonnie Rowland (Barbara) and Patricia Carvalho; and his son-in-law Jim Newton.

He is survived by: his wife Terry; his children, Mark Holman (Rolanda) and Lena Newton; his grandchildren, Keira (Dylan), Kaylene (Tristan), Dylan, Jared (Amy) and Colby (Paige); his sisters, Sylvia Steidel (Jim) and Jennifer Holman; and also Finley.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
