He was predeceased by: his son Jean-Yves Proulx (Cheryl); and his grandson Marc Labonté. He is survived by: his children, Chantal LaForest (Jacques), Diane Schaub (Larry), Gilles Proulx (Brenda), Alain Proulx, Dan Proulx (Pamela) and Rachelle Lautischer (Steve); the mother of his children Gisèle Rousseau; and his grandchildren, Alain Labonté, Carmen Randell, Denis Labonté, Roger Schaub, Jason Schaub, Melissa Mooney, Nicole Proulx, Trevor Proulx, Kelsi Proulx, Leandra McAdam, Dominique Proulx, Niklas Proulx, Carter Proulx, Kira Proulx, Kegan Proulx, Quentin Lautischer and Amber Lautischer. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers donations to the MS Society of Canada or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
