He was predeceased by: his wife Veronica; and his brother David. He is survived by: his children, Will, Patrick, Edie (Murray), Tina (Phil), Robin, Madeline and Sean; his grandchildren, Megan, Katherine (Dominic), Kelley (Michael), Jessica, Daniel (Maria), Peter and Sarah (Brennan); his great grandchildren, Brianna and Charlotte; and his sisters-in-law, Madeline Schmidt and Madeleine Charlesworth. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Robert's memory to the Capital Care Foundation.
