He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Mathieu and Albertine Mathieu; his siblings, Eveline Rudance, Jean-Paul and Maurice Mathieu; his nephews, Michael, David Rudance, Mark and Cody Mathieu; and his sister-in-law Deanna (Bernard).
He is survived by: his wife Marie; his brothers, Marcel (Nancy), Bernard, George (Josephine) and Guy (Sylvia); his sisters-in-law, Grace, Isobel, Minnie Mathieu, Mary and Lucille Lamothe (Guy); and his godchildren, Dr. Renee Lamothe, Bret Nyeste, Joshua Cyr, Martin Lamothe and Eric LaFrance.
