He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter and Anita; his brother Mickey; and his sister-in-law Johanna. He is survived by: his wife Debbie; his daughter Tammie (Ben); his grandchildren, Haille, Abby, Jonah, Seth, Allie, Noah, Aiden and Logan; his nieces and nephews, Jamie (Steve) and Brent; his close friend Helga (Susi); and his caregiver Peter.
