He was predeceased by: his parents, C. J. Kirkpatrick (Kirk) and Barbara Phyllis Kirkpatrick; his daughter Bonnie Kim Kirkpatrick; his aunts and uncles, Hugh Cunningham, Ruth Cunningham, Helene Gergley, David Brydon and Jo Brydon; and his cousins, Sarah Brydon (Sally) and Richard Cunningham.
He is survived by: his daughters, Hilary and Gillian; his son-in-law Michael Maisonneuve; his sisters, Louise and Heather; his brother-in-law Tim; his nieces and nephews, Neil (Mattea), Elisabeth (Mitch), Laura, Carolyn (Garrett), Ludovic and Bosco; his great-nieces, Dahlia, Skyla, Leona and Serena; and his cousins, Bev (Jim), Jane (Neil), Michael, Laurie and Anna-Marie (Tony).
