He was predeceased by: his wife Doreen Booy; his parents, Harry Booy (Harasym) and Olga Booy; his daughters, Colleen Booy and Sharon Booy; and his siblings, Louis Booy, Bill Booy, Harry Booy, Nykola Booy (Nick), Nellie Solyma, Pauline Kachmarski and Katherine Teleske. He is also survived by his family members, neighbours, and friends.

A Celebration of Mike's Life to be held on February 5th at 11:00 a. m. at Hainstock's Funeral Home, 9810-34 Avenue, Edmonton but due to covid restrictions a private family celebration will take place, with inurnment at Fisherton Cemetery, Pigeon Lake at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cross Cancer Institute.
