He was predeceased by: his wife Elaine; and his parents, Viola and Thomas. He is survived by: his children, Murray (Pam), Scott (Salimah) and Kim (Kerri); and his grandchildren, Kaylee (Calvin), Zachary and Benjamin.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Victory Life Church of St. Albert.
