He was predeceased by: his parents, Harley Gariepy and Theresa Gariepy (Hutton); and his siblings, Carmen, Denise, Joanne, Patrick and Paul.

He is survived by: his wife Jeanette; his children, Tanya (Dustin Thiessen) and Jason; his grandchildren, Gavin and Geneva; his brothers, David, Don, Hugh and Michael; and his friends, Bill, George and Rocky.
