She was predeceased by: her father Balzer Reider; her sister Shirley Reiger; and her siblings-in-law, Lorne Reiger, Bryn Richards and Marie Richards.

She is survived by: her mother Cora Reider; her husband Alan Richards; her children, Tyler, Tammy (Korey), Lisa (Edwin) and Ryan (Rochelle); her grandchildren, Shania (Justin), Samantha, Sean (Jesalyn), Dawson (Shea), Gage, Cole and Brooklyn; her great grandchildren, Liam and Ella; and her brother Dennis Reider (Nary).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the St. Albert Food Bank (https://stalbertfoodbankandcommunityvillage.com) or the Heart and Stroke Foundation, causes that were close to Mary's heart.
