She was predeceased by: her husband George Tainsh; her children, Donald and Moira; and her parents, Andrew Smith and Mary Smith.

She is survived by: her children, Andrew Tainsh (Brenda) of Red Deer and Alison Lessard (Kent) of Morinville; her grandchildren, Ian, Emma, Craig Tainsh, Katrina, Mathieu and Ethan Lessard; her cousin Margaret Reid of Prestwick, Scotland; and her sister-in-law Gladys Tainsh. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and extended family.
