She was predeceased by: her husband Steve Kachmar; her daughter Shirley Marie Kachmar; her parents, Klem Duke and Stephania Duke; her siblings, Michael Duke (Nancy), Alex Duke, Julian Duk (Emily), Edward Duke (Darlene) and Elizabeth Rurka (Adam); and her stepsiblings, Nick Duke (Jesse), Peter Duke, Paul Duke, Bill Duke, Julia Porayko, Kay Duke and Ann Tymchuk.

She is survived by: her children, Ken S. Kachmar (Lesley), Barry Wayne Kachmar (Connie) and Sharon Stephanie Van (Arnold) of Ligt.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 11th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the Park Memorial Chapel (9709 111 Ave NW, Edmonton, AB T5G0B2). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 11th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
