He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Olga Zilinski and Emil Zilinski; his children, Katrina, Marissa and Myles; the mother of his children Hazel; and his sisters, Verna and Alma. He was also cherished by many extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Marvin and his love of the outdoors may be made to the Alberta Wilderness Association.

“Marvin was like a big brother to me growing up. He lived a few doors away and lived with us after his mom died. Marvin never excluded me from helping in the garage fixing things, and made sure I was included in major things like watching his snake birth, target practice with the bb gun, tuning up bikes, or putting worms on hooks. I was the kid sister of his bestie and should have been sent off to play but he always beamed love when I was around and made me feel like a valued tomboy princess.”
