He was predeceased by: his parents, Anna Heisler and Jacob Heisler; his siblings, Alma Heisler, Catherine Friesen (Walter), Joseph Heisler and Rosemarie; his nieces, Charlene Campbell and Linda Heisler; and his nephew Joey Heisler.

He is survived by: his brother Jim Heisler (Dorothy) of Whitecourt; his sister-in-law June Heisler of Calgary; his nieces and nephews, Ann Richards (James) of Edmonton, Mike Heisler (Debbie), Jim Heisler (Kimberley) of Whitecourt and Michelle Mol (Robin) of Edmonton; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Josh, Jacob (Lauren), Jordyn (Kevin), Sarah, Hannah, Myah Heisler, Maddison, Coby, Mackenzie, Camber and Mason Mol; and also Owen Heisler. He is also survived by numerous relatives and friends.
