He is survived by: his wife Lorraine; his children, Richard Nelson (Diana), Kathryn Sumner (Gary), James Nelson (Zoeanne), Douglas Nelson and Gary Nelson; his grandchildren, Taylor Nelson, Jesse Postma (Cassie), Danielle Postma (Braden), Amanda Postma, Genevieve Sumner (Greg), Danielle Hittinger (Dallas), Shayle Nelson (Denys), Brooklynn Nelson (Riley), Alysha Campbell, Jenna Campbell, Darien Campbell, Chrystal Payne (Jeremy), Megan St (Russell) and Bella Nelson; and his great grandchildren, Mya Postma, Ava Postma, Ethan Postma, Liam Hittinger, Madelynn Campbell, Madison Payne, Hayden Payne, Oliver St. Germaine and Brianna St. Germaine.
A prayer was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the Connelly-McKinley St. Albert (9 Muir Drive Corner of St. Vital Avenue & Highway 2, St. Albert, AB). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 1:00 PM at the St. Albert Catholic Church (7 St Vital Ave, St. Albert, AB T8N1K1).
