We bid farewell to Lydia Schienmann (Edmonton, Alberta), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 5, 2025 at the age of 95. Lydia touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her husband Oswald; and her parents, Justina Mandau (Schaffrick) and Friedrich Mandau. She is survived by: her children, Roy and Sigrid (Rick); her daughter-in-law Brenda; her granddaughter Stefanie (Ryan); her son Otto; her granddaughter Kristi; and her siblings, Friedrich Jr., Olga, Emma, Rudolph, Edmund, Wilhelm, Reinhold, Otto and Eric. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, extended family.
Viewing was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church (10759 96 St, Edmonton, AB T5H2J7). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Evergreen Memorial Gardens (16102 Fort Rd NW, Edmonton, AB T5Y6A2).
