He is survived by: his wife Jane Den Braber; his children, Linda (Ken), Marianne (James) and Lenard (Leanne); his siblings, Hilly Balmforth and Jan Den Braber (Aleid); and his siblings-in-law, Corry Vandenberg (Tony) and Robert Bruinsma (Louisa). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
