She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernon Schmidt and Alma Schmidt; and her husband Glen. She is survived by: her brother Wayne Schmidt (Sophie); her children, Loren Kroetsch (Barb), Cheryl Gillies (Jim) and Douglas Kroetsch (Candace); her grandchildren, Jacob, Ben, Graydon, Holly, Connor and Hailey; and her friend Ron Swan.
