It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Kenneth Wesley Degen (Edmonton, Alberta), who passed away on April 23, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred and Eva; his siblings, Wayne and Merrilyn; and his grandson Corey.

He is survived by: his wife Rita; his children, Cheryl (Rick), Dallas (Chris) and David (Patti); his grandchildren, Ashley, Stephanie (Jon), Natalie (Peter), Angela, Nicholas (Coral) and Shane (Jessica); his great grandchildren, Preston, Hayden, Adley, Harrison, Dailyn and Danika; and his brother Raymond. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation.

I first met Ken back in our elementary school Parkdale when I was 14 yrs old. We remained friends ever since. He was also the best man at my first wedding. I know my buddy will now rest in peace.
