He was predeceased by: his daughter Karen; his granddaughter Kristin; his daughter-in-law Debbie; his parents, Elly and Fred; his siblings, Paula (Tom), Jean (Ron) and Jorgen; and his sister-in-law Julie.

He is survived by: his wife Margaret; his children, Ken, Layne, Doug (Cheryl), Dawn (Rick) and Gail (Wade); his grandchildren, Erin (Chad), Nevin (Melissa), Shawne (Ben), Kyle (Kristen), Heather (Jon), Kevin (Aimie) and Kolin (Emma); his brother Henry (Pam); and his sister-in-law Millie. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, extended family.
