He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Peteghen and Georgina Van Peteghen; and his brother Mark. He is survived by: his wife Tami; his children, Jade (Edward McCormack), Sarah (Scott Martin) and Casey (Michelle Rustad); and his grandchildren, Luke, Erin, Lauren, Kathleen, Anna, Claire and Max.

Memorial donations in Joe's name may be made to 2nd Chance Trail Ride, on organization dedicated to encouraging organ and tissue donations and supporting those who receive this special gift.
