He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy; his parents, John Holyk and Mary Holyk; and his siblings, Bill, Harry, Mike and Rose.

He is survived by: his children, Darrell, Cheryl (Andrew) and Peggy (Greg); his grandchildren, Emma (Johann), Drew, Joel, Justin, Luke, Amanda, Graeme and Joey; and his sisters-in-law, Mary, Kathryn and Eva. He is also survived by grandchildren, extended family and friends.
