He was predeceased by: his parents, John Fisher and Mary Fisher; and his brother Peter Fisher. He is survived by: his wife Leah Fisher; his daughter Gwyneth Fisher; his brother David Fisher (Simone Fisher); his sister-in-law Virginia Fisher; his stepdaughter Mandy Fisher (Robert Zalitach); and his stepgrandsons, Benjamin, Christopher and Graham.

Memorial donations may be made to the Nature Conservancy of Canada in honor of John's love for nature and service as a Queen's Scout.
