She was predeceased by: her sister Oralie Cook; and her siblings-in-law, Mona Cush and Bernie Merchant. She is survived by: her husband Val Merchant; her children, Michelle (Malcolm), Derek (Mary Joan) and Monique (Stuart); her grandchildren, Yemaya, Samantha, Naqait, Erica, Isla, Sadie and Jack; her brother Tom Cook (Charlie); and her siblings-in-law, Marianne Lysenko (Ken) and Jim Merchant (Sharon).
